Undeniable - Adam Rowe Is Bringing Comedy To Cardiff Glee Club
One of the most exciting young acts in the UK, Liverpudlian comedian Adam Rowe is touingr the UK this Autumn and scheduled to play Cardiff’s Glee Club on October 28. This follows an Edinburgh Festival run for the 3rd consecutive year with his uncompromising, brutally honest stand-up style.
He had a total sell out at last year’s Fringe as well as a sell-out UK tour with his show ‘Unbearable’, both of which were entirely self-produced.
His new show ‘Undeniable’ takes a close look at how your background, class, race, sociological issues, mental health and personality all either hinder or aid your journey for that title. He thinks you can turn (what seems to be) your biggest weakness into your biggest strength. The show looks at how prejudice, whilst often an abhorrent trait, is part of human nature and how it can be used in a very positive way. Sometimes tunnel visioned, determination & self-belief can often be mistaken for arrogance & selfishness. Are those things truly necessary to become Undeniable?
Adam was raised by an alcoholic single parent in one of the roughest areas of Liverpool after, almost single handed, splitting up his parents at the age of 10. However, his combative and positive nature refuses to let this start in life hold him back. He's determined to take the lessons he's learned and characteristics he's developed from these circumstances and use them to get absolutely everything he wants from life. This is an inspiring & uplifting show about how you can achieve anything you want, regardless of where and what background you come from.
“There’s nothing I’ve ever wanted more than to be a touring comedian, so this is literally the most exciting thing that could ever happen to me,” says Adam, “ I feel really, really lucky to be getting an opportunity like this as it’s usually only comics who have a wealth of TV appearances behind them that get the chance to do a tour of this size and I haven’t had any TV exposure yet. This is all only possible due to people watching and sharing videos of my stand-up online, which is cool and something that I’m extremely grateful for.”
“I’m really proud of this new show and I just want as many people to come out and see it as possible. It’s about my insecurities, but you’d have to over analyse it to see that. On the face of it, it’s an hour of opinionated, brutally honest stand-up about my working-class background, growing up in Liverpool and the last year of my life. Come see it, it’s going to be boss.”
