Little Shop of Horrors is a charming and kooky 1950s musical about Seymour Krelborn, the assistant at Mushnik's Flower Shop who becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers a strange and exotic plant. He names it Audrey Two in order to impress the glamorous Audrey, but he soon discovers that Audrey Two needs a little more than plant food to thrive. How far will Seymour go for the woman of his dreams?

The show sizzled from the opening number – Little Shop of Horrors - where the ensemble, especially Sasha Latoya, Vanessa Fisher and Cassie Clare set the fun upbeat tempo for the whole production. The show didn’t slow down as we watched the story develop for Seymour (brilliantly played by Sam Upton) as he triumphed over the evil dentist, Orin, played by Rhydian Roberts.

As the second half continued the audience was delighted to see Rhydian Roberts in several different characters.  I thoroughly enjoyed the performances by Stephanie Clift and Paul Kissaun as their characters, Audrey and Mushnik, find out what Seymour has been up to.

The whole cast is outstanding and you’ll leave the theatre singing and dancing your way home. The show continues in Cardiff until Saturday October 8.
